Buckey Denied Jail Transfer
A judge today denied a request by McMartin Pre-School molestation case defendant Ray Buckey to be transferred to a safer location in the County Jail because of alleged attacks and proximity to jailhouse informants.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Roger Boren refused to “interfere with the operation” of the jail, saying the Sheriff’s Department “has not been derelict” in its care of Buckey. Buckey claims he was kicked by an inmate en route to the visiting area and hit with bombs of urine and fecal matter thrown by other inmates.
