Orange : Chapman to Sponsor Writers’ Conference

T. Jefferson Parker, author of the mystery novel “Laguna Heat,” will be among the authors, publishers and literary agents speaking at the Chapman College Writers’ Conference on Nov. 15, the college announced.
Other speakers will include authors Donald Stanwood and Christopher Pike; literary agent Ashley Starlington Grayson; poet Judith Kroenfeld, and television and motion picture scriptwriter Duhhaine Waeker. The event is open to the public.
Lecture topics will cover an array of topics ranging from “Beating the Odds in Publishing” to “Plotting the Suspense Novel.”
Registration will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on the day of the conference. The fee is $30, which includes a luncheon. The conference, which extends until 4:30 p.m., will be held in Waltmar Theatre on the Chapman campus at Glassell Street and Palm Avenue.
