Genisco Consolidation to Spur Cut of 40 Jobs
- Share via
Genisco Technology Corp. said it consolidated its memory products and computer graphics units, a move that will result in the loss of a total of 40 jobs at the company’s Costa Mesa and Cypress facilities.
The Rancho Dominguez-based company said that combining the units will reduce its costs and expand the potential market for its products. Richard Shively, former president of the memory products unit, was named president of the new division, which will be called Genisco Peripheral Systems. Charles Kimmel, general manager of the computer graphics unit, will move to the corporate staff, the company said.
Genisco makes computer memory components and subsystems, electronic test equipment and graphic displays. The company’s products typically are sold to makers of military equipment.
