Botha Goals Lead USIU Past USD in Soccer, 3-1

SAN DIEGO —  Gary Botha scored a pair of first-half goals to lead United States International University to a 3-1 victory over the University of San Diego in a nonconference soccer match Saturday afternoon at USIU.

Botha scored at the 11- and 44-minute marks of the first half. Cem Er scored USIU’s third goal in the second half, and Art Faro scored for USD.

USIU is 6-3-1. USD fell to 14-3.
