Erie Community College officials have voluntarily forfeited all the school’s basketball wins from last season after the Buffalo school learned that the team’s coach secretly changed players’ grades.
The team had a 33-3 record and was ranked eighth nationally among junior colleges in 1985-86.
School President Louis Ricci said that officials have found nine students who had grades changed, including two players who would not have been eligible because of low grades. Coach Donald Silveri, who admitted changing the grades, has resigned.
