Citing the losses of hundreds of thousands of U.S. jobs to imported products, the union unveiled a mail-order catalogue offering discounts on dozens of union-made American consumer goods. Under development for the past 11 months, the new Union Label Shopper, prepared for the labor federation’s 13.1 million members, is the latest step in a program begun two years ago to counter declining union membership in an expanding labor market.
