They said Carter will arrive Nov. 1 for a two-day visit and be given an official welcome by Bangladeshi authorities.
Carter, currently chairman of the Global 2000 organization, is expected to sign a protocol for a health care project that is part of a program for integrated development of rural areas, the sources said. Elaborate preparations are also under way for the Nov. 19 visit by the Pope, they said.
