Doctors Strike in Beirut

BEIRUT — Emergency room doctors demanding better security are on a three-day strike at Beirut’s American University Hospital, a university spokesman said Thursday. He said the strike at Lebanon’s largest hospital, which began Wednesday, was called after a doctor was beaten up by a policeman seeking priority treatment for a friend.
