Curtius-O’brien Help Mater Dei Defeat Huntington Beach, 20-0
Senior quarterback Mike Curtius threw two touchdown passes to wide receiver Jim O’brien and Greg Livernois rushed for another score Friday night to lead Mater Dei to a 20-0 win over Huntington Beach in LeBard Stadium at Costa Mesa.
Livernois started the scoring with a one-yard dive in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Curtius completed a four-yard touchdown pass to O’brien.
The same pair hooked up again for another four-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter.
Mater Dei is 3-2 going into next week’s Angelus League opener against St Bernard.
Huntington Beach is 2-3 and opens Sunset League play against Westminster next Saturday.
