Culver City : Ambulance Purchase OKd
The Fire Department will soon pay about $65,900 for a new paramedic ambulance, and the Municipal Services Department will get a new $12,500 grinding machine.
The City Council Monday authorized both departments to solicit bids for the vehicles. The ambulance will replace a back-up vehicle that is more than 10 years old. A 1979 model will become the department’s back-up ambulance when the new one is bought.
The grinder will be used by the city’s Streets Division to remove damaged sidewalks and pavement markings.
