UC San Diego Loses in Volleyball Final

The Cal State Northridge women’s volleyball team, co-ranked No. 1 among NCAA Div. II schools, defeated UC San Diego, 15-9, 15-8, Saturday for the championship of the La Verne Invitational.

UCSD, a NCAA Div. III team, defeated UC Riverside, co-ranked with Northridge, 11-15, 15-7, 15-6, in the semifinals. UCSD is 15-2.
