READ HIM HIS RIGHTS

After watching the premiere of Steven Bochco’s long awaited “L.A. Law,” I can’t help but be genuinely afraid for the state of network television.
I didn’t believe a word of it as producer Bochco and his casting director paraded actor after model after bimbo onto the scene, foisting them off as legal professionals in the wildest perversion of career representation since Ricardo Tubbs as a vice cop.
It’s apparent the casting standards and integrity of “Hill Street Blues” have been tossed to the dogs and all of the characters converted into those arch-fiends of incredibility and ridiculousness we see at every turn on television these days.
Are they sprouted from large, bean-like pods? Ha! And to think Bochco’s prime concern is not to insult his viewing audience.
