PREP FOOTBALL : Troy Uses a Strong Running Game to Dominate Bellflower, 34-12

Troy High School used a punishing ground game behind Todd Murdock and Karl Hess in running past Bellflower, 34-12, at Fullerton Stadium Friday night.
The Warriors scored on their second play from scrimmage on a 2-yard run by Hess (83 yards, 3 touchdowns) after Mike Pawalski recovered a Buccaneer fumble inside the 15-yard line on the first play of the game.
Murdock, who rushed for a 123 yards in 14 carries, scored twice in the first half as Troy held a 27-0 halftime lead.
Bellflower gave up 320 yards on the ground and was limited to 15 total yards in the first half.
Chuck Taylor was the only bright spot for the Buccaneers. He carried the ball for 118 yards and 2 fourth-quarter touchdowns.
