CSUN Soccer Team Ties With UCSB, 1-1

Despite holding a man advantage through the last 10 minutes of regulation, and two overtime periods, the Cal State Northridge men’s soccer team settled for a 1-1 tie with UC Santa Barbara on Friday night in Santa Barbara.
CSUN junior midfielder Rodney Batt scored 70 minutes into the match on an assist from senior forward John Tronson to give the Matadors a 1-0 lead. But Santa Barbara (1-1-1) tied the match four minutes later. CSUN (1-0-1) plays the Hollywood Kickers, a professional team in the Western Soccer Alliance, Sunday at 6 p.m. at North Campus Stadium.
