Dr. Charles L. Pincus, 82; Pioneer in Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Charles L. Pincus, a pioneer in the art of cosmetic dentistry and known as “Dentist of the Stars,” died Thursday at his Beverly Hills home after an illness of several weeks. He was 82.
He was founder and first president of the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He published numerous articles and was a contributor to Dr. Ronald Goldstein’s book on aesthetic dentistry.
He was inducted into the USC Dental Hall of Fame and was presented the Bumblebee Award of the American Academy of Plastic Research. He also received the Torch of Learning Award from the American Friends of the Hebrew University.
He leaves his wife, Frances; a daughter, Marilyn, and a sister, Ruth Koch.
Services will be conducted at noon Sunday at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W. Centinela Ave.
The family asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the USC School of Dentistry or the Memorial Cancer Research Foundation of Southern California.
