NEW PROGRAM FOR BENEFIT CONCERT
In the new program for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Pension Fund benefit by Luciano Pavarotti and the Philharmonic at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Hollywood Bowl, the tenor will sing arias from “L’Elisir d’Amore,” “Luisa Miller” and “L’Arlesiana,” plus songs by Bixio, Crescenzo, Buzzi, Lazzaro and Curtis.
He will be assisted by soprano Madelyn Renee, who will sing the “Ave Maria” from “Otello.”
The program was reorganized when Dame Joan Sutherland canceled her appearance after suffering a perforated eardrum last weekend.
