Lomita : Building Bans Extended
The City Council has extended a moratorium on two-story construction in residential zones south of Pacific Coast Highway through June, 1987. It blocks construction of structures designed for two or more stories or exceeding 12 feet in height. It also prohibits remodeling or reconstruction of buildings taller than 12 feet if the work would increase the structure’s floor space.
The moratorium is intended to give the Planning Commission time to study measures to protect views.
