Women’s world champion Elena Shushunova of the Soviet Union took gold medals in the vault, the uneven bars and the floor exercise in the World Cup gymnastics tournament at Peking.
Oksana Omeliantchik completed a Soviet sweep of the gold medals in the women’s individual events, winning the balance beam with 19.875 points.
Li Ning of China won the pommel horse and the floor exercise in the men’s competition, and Soviet Yuri Korolev won the all-around and tied for first place in the rings and the vault.
