The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 23-year-old Mexican woman whose body was found late last week at an isolated intersection of truck trails on Otay Mesa.
The name of the woman, believed to be from Michoacan in Mexico, was being withheld Monday pending notification of her family. A sheriff’s spokesman said the body was found about 2 p.m. Friday at the junction of the Minnewawa and Otay Mountain truck trails.
Officials were led to the body by a number of illegal aliens arrested Friday in the Otay Mountain area, according to Detective Craig Henderson. He said there was no evidence of trauma or foul play.
