Man Confesses to Driving Under Influence of Cake

HINGHAM, Mass. —  A man who blamed a rum cake for his failing a Breathalyzer test has pleaded guilty to drunken driving. Robert Nightingale, 25, of Plymouth, said he drank three beers and ate four-fifths of a five-pound rum cake a few hours before his arrest.
