STONEWALL, Tex. — President Reagan sent a wreath of red roses Wednesday to commemorate the 78th birthday of President Lyndon B. Johnson, who died in 1973. In a brief ceremony, Lady Bird Johnson placed the wreath at the oak tree-shaded grave, which is in a family plot on the LBJ Ranch west of Austin.
The former First Lady, accompanied by family members and friends, later participated in a private memorial ceremony at the nearby ranch house.
