Flamemaster Revenue Up, Earnings Down in Quarter

Flamemaster, a Sun Valley maker of flame-retardant coatings, said its earnings fell 37%, to $50,038, or 3 cents a share, in the third fiscal quarter ended June 30.
Revenue, however, increased 20%, to $3.5 million. That increase occurred largely because Flamemaster consolidated its results with Altius, a maker of steel cabinets used to store flammable liquids. Flamemaster owns 59% of Altius.
For the nine months ended June 30, Flamemaster’s earnings rose 25%, to $172,741, or 12 cents a share. Revenue rose 20%, to $3.5 million.
