Alhambra : 10 to Be on Council Ballot

Ten candidates, including two incumbents, have qualified for the ballot in the Nov. 4 Alhambra City Council election, according to City Clerk Dorothy Outwater. Candidates in the 1st District are Mary Louise Bunker, incumbent; Ralph Gilliam, planning commissioner, and Stephen Thomas Hearn, member of the Board of Appeals and Civil Service Commission. The 2nd District candidates are Barbara Messina, whose husband, Michael, is retiring from the council; Doug Peake, an educator, and James T. Richetts, a businessman. Running in the 5th District are Michael Blanco, incumbent; Joseph David Harrison, a property manager; David Smith, who is retired, and Sonia E. McIntosh, a homemaker.
