Datron Systems reported that its profit rose nearly 25% to $312,000, or 12 cents a share, in the first quarter ended June 30. Sales increased nearly 25%, to $5.1 million in the quarter.
The Simi Valley company, which makes satellite, radar and radio communications systems for the military, reported that increases stemmed mainly from its acquisition last year of Trans World Communications, an Escondido maker of long-range, high-frequency receivers and transmitters.
