Tallmantz Aviation said it will build a 17,000-square-foot hangar next to its present complex of hangars and offices at John Wayne Airport.
Tallmantz officials said the hangar will cost about $350,000 and construction will get under way shortly on property formerly owned by A0 Skyways, a fixed-base operator that Tallmantz purchased in January.
Tallmantz said the new hangar, which will be large enough to accommodate corporate airplanes, will be completed by year’s end.
Separately, the company said it was appointed California’s first authorized service center for Aerospatiale Helicopter Corp., a French manufacturer of passenger, corporate and military helicopters.
