Michael Bocchicchio, planning director for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program in Pasadena, has been nominated by Gov. George Deukmejian to be the state architect. Bocchicchio, 43, who has worked in various planning and design capacities for Kaiser since 1980, was university architect and director of architectural services for the University of Southern California from 1972 to 1980.
