A man already facing prison on one rape-murder conviction pleaded innocent at his arraignment in Municipal Court on another rape-murder case that could carry the death penalty. Jack Gus Farnam, 21, is accused of having robbed, burglarized, raped, sodomized and strangled Lillian Mar, 50, at her Los Angeles home Nov. 19, 1982. Farnam, who was sentenced last year to a term of 25 years to life for a 1981 rape-murder, was linked to the Mar case with the help of the state’s new computer fingerprint identification system, police said.
