Hilton Hotels of Beverly Hills reported an 11% increase in second-quarter earnings. For the six months ended June 30, the hotel and gaming company posted a 6% decline in profits. Barron Hilton, the company’s chairman and president, attributed the second-quarter improvement to strength in the company’s gaming operations and a slight increase in hotel occupancy.
