‘Drugs and Death’

Your editorial (July 1) on “Drugs and Death,” pretty much hit the nail on the head, but you don’t go far enough. Let us strike at the root of the problem. Let’s hit the spot from where the drugs are coming--dealers, smugglers, peddlers, manufacturers and growers. The present laws are so weak that these criminals have no fear of getting caught. The only sure way of controlling the drug traffic is to impose the death penalty on all the above-named criminals. I am very bitter at our legislators for sitting on their hands and doing nothing.
Keep bringing these outrages to the attention of the public and maybe our legislators will someday take the hint and act.
