Escondido
An Escondido man was shot and killed Monday and a Carlsbad man turned himself in to police after the incident, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Reports of a shooting sent deputies to the home of Julius Arpado Meszaros of the 2100 block of Amanda Lane shortly after noon. Deputies found Meszaros wounded and he was rushed to Palomar Memorial hospital, where he died from wounds to the upper body.
Kenneth Zoltan Mozga, 50, of Carlsbad, turned himself in to deputies at the County Jail in Vista a short time later, a sheriff’s spokesman said. He said the two men had reportedly argued over money.
Mozga was held without bail on suspicion of murder pending his arraignment.
