Competition for Masonry Awards Slated
The Concrete Masonry Assn. of California and Nevada is sponsoring its first annual statewide design competition to honor California projects using concrete masonry. The California Council of the American Institute of Architects is co-sponsor.
The top design will receive a masonry and glass award created by Sacramento sculptor David Rible; other winners will receive honor and merit awards. CCAIA members are eligible to enter any project in California built after Jan. 1, 1979.
Registration forms, sent out in May, must be returned to CCAIA headquarters by Friday, with winners to be announced at the group’s annual conference, Nov. 6-9, at the Hyatt Regency Monterey.
Additional information may be obtained by contacting Stuart R. Beavers, executive director of the Concrete Masonry Assn. of California and Nevada, at 6060 Sunrise Vista Drive, Suite 1875, Citrus Heights, Calif. 95610.
