11 Unhurt as DC-3 Tips on Nose During Takeoff

PROVINCETOWN, Mass. — A Provincetown-Boston Airline DC-3 carrying 11 people tipped on its nose and skidded as it tried to take off Wednesday night, authorities said. No injuries were reported.
Eight passengers and a three-member crew were aboard Flight 918 to Boston when the accident occurred about 8 p.m., said Arthur Lisenby, station manager for the airline. Those aboard the plane were evacuated through an emergency exit. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
