Jurors convicted a 23-year-old man of first-degree murder in the killing of an off-duty San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy. Cedric Davis of San Bernardino was convicted in the death of Deputy Clifford Sanchez, 31, on April 6, 1985. Christopher Caldwell, 19, of Pomona had been convicted earlier and was sentenced April 25 to 27 years to life in state prison.
