Nina Revoyr of Culver City High School will play in the AAU National Women’s Basketball Tournament, part of the Junior Olympics, in Plainville, Conn., Friday through July 5. Revoyr, who averaged 20.1 points, 14.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists a game as a junior last year, will compete as a member of the 16-and-under Southern California Women’s Basketball Club of Long Beach, which won the Southern Regional AAU tournament last month. This is the third straight year Revoyr has played in the Junior Olympics for the Club.
Palisades High School dominated the men’s volleyball 4-A All-City selections as seniors Chris Pennel and J.B. Saunders, both outside hitters; seniors Kevin Shepard and Kent Steffes, middle hitters; Adam Unger, a senior setter, and Ryan O’Hara, a junior setter, were named to the first team. Eric Vizents, a senior middle hitter from University, and Neil Coffman, a senior outside hitter from Chatsworth, round out the team.
Richard A. Krause of Marina del Rey aced Penmar’s 165-yard, par 3 eighth hole, according to starter Richard Schaefer.
