West Hollywood : Firm to Prosecute Code Cases
The City Council has hired a Huntington Park law firm to act as its prosecutor when city ordinances have been violated.
The city, which had been represented in all prosecutions by the county district attorney’s office, will continue to use the county prosecutor for all criminal cases. But city violations, such as building, sign, rent control and other code enforcement cases, will now be handled by the law firm of Dapeer & Rosenblit.
City officials had said their code enforcement cases were proceeding too slowly under county jurisdiction.
Dapeer and Rosenblit, who also represent the cities of Huntington Park, Cudahy and south El Monte, will be paid $10,000 by West Hollywood in fiscal 1986.
