Crash Kills Cyclist in Panorama City
A Granada Hills youth died Wednesday after his motorcycle collided with a car in a Panorama City intersection, Los Angeles police said.
Nirmal Sukhija, 16, was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills after the 7:30 a.m. accident, Officer Bill Mulvihill said.
The car, driven by Emmanuel Bato, 26, of Panorama City, was making a left turn from Vesper Avenue onto eastbound Van Nuys Boulevard when it collided with the motorcycle, which was westbound on Van Nuys Boulevard, Mulvihill said.
Bato was not injured, Mulvihill said. Sukhija was not wearing a helmet, he said.
