Former IBM engineer Kuo Jen-Kai and his wife, Kuo Tan-Lee, both of Tucson, agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to IBM, which had accused them of giving company trade secrets to China. According to court records, a search of the Kuos’ home last year netted confidential IBM papers and computer software that government officials believe the couple intended to send to China.
