Nogales Installation
Alex Nogales will take office as president of the Hispanic Academy of Media Arts and Sciences (HAMAS) Saturday at a 2-7 p.m. reception at the Hyatt Hotel in Hollywood.
Other incoming officers include Jesus Trevino, vice president; Esther Renteria, secretary, and Socorro Serrano Swan, treasurer.
The national organization was formed in 1984 to create a network for Latinos in the film, radio, TV and public relations industries. The Hollywood chapter has approximately 400 members; its offices are at 5451 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Suite 100, North Hollywood, telephone (818) 509-1066.
