Car Plunges Off Cliff; Man Killed
A 25-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving plunged off a 200-foot cliff on Malibu Canyon Road early today and burst into flames, sheriff’s deputies said. The car was traveling south on the canyon road about 2 1/2 miles north of Pacific Coast Highway when the accident occurred about 7:30 a.m.
The victim, whose name was not released pending notification of next of kin, was found badly burned near the car, deputies said. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
