A 21-year-old Marine was fatally injured early Monday when his motorcycle struck a curb and he was thrown head-first into a block wall, police said.
The man, whose identity was withheld pending notification of his family, was southbound on Fairview Street south of 1st Street, going about 45 m.p.h., when his motorcycle veered and struck the curb, witnesses told police.
