The Bingham family sold a television station.

The family said it sold Louisville, Ky.’s top-rated television station to Providence Journal Co. for $85.7 million. The station, WHAS-TV, is a CBS affiliate and had been owned and operated by the family since 1945. Earlier this month, the family sold the Louisville Courier-Journal and the Louisville Times to Gannett Co. for $305 million.
