Transamerica Title Insurance Co. has made a $100,000 gift to the construction of the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.
The gift was announced by the company’s president, David Porter, and William Lyon, chairman of the Center Corps Campaign.
Overall pledges and gifts for Center construction have passed the $64-million mark. The immediate target is to raise $70.7 million--the cost of the Center’s 3,000-seat multipurpose theater.
The multipurpose theater opens Sept. 29 with Zubin Mehta conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
