A Substitute For Metro Rail
With all due respect to the railroad companies, rattling around their network of rails for an hour to get across L.A. is not my idea of rapid transit. And $3.15--is that the yuppie fare or can poor slobs ride too? The rails have to be commended for illuminating the horrendous rip-off proposed by RTD. The idea that the rails can build a comparable system for a few million instead of a few billion (big difference) should be extremely enlightening to the dingbats in charge of city funds and public trust. We apparently have two choices: Metro Rail or Retro Rail. Great. By the time they get through building it, we’ll all be dead anyway. Flying camels? Sure, we’ll take anything.
This issue affects every single person in LA, whether they take public transportation or not. Wake up, the City is walking on you.
