An estimated 5,000 demonstrators, some chanting “No More Chernobyls,” marched through the streets of Paris to protest France’s dependency on nuclear plants for 64% of its electricity. The protesters--many waving anti-nuclear banners and some wearing gas masks or mock contamination suits of white plastic--marched three miles from the Place de la Bastille to the French Health Ministry.
