Dodger Games Becoming a Little Too Much
Maybe I’m the only one in L.A. to think so, but it’s my feeling that Vin Scully is becoming just a little too much.
Why all that hyperbole? It’s only a little boys’ game being played by men who are overpaid. Everything is either brilliant or magnificent. And all that selling, selling and more selling. Game tickets, Dodger newspaper and magazine, Dodger yearbook and Dodger teen clubs, etc. Please give us a break.
We all can imagine how tough it is to hit a ball moving at 90+ m.p.h. or to pitch in Dodger Stadium in front of 50,000 fans. However, it’s tough in other professions, too.
And all that talk about pressure. Real pressure is being unemployed for a year and trying to support a family.
