Yugoslavia Jails 46 Ethnic Albanians for Dissident Activity

BELGRADE, Yugoslavia — District courts sentenced 46 ethnic Albanians to prison terms ranging from three months to 13 years on charges of attempting to create an Albanian republic in Yugoslavia.
The official Tanjug news agency said Thursday that a court in Pristina, capital of Kosovo province, sentenced 27 people who were alleged to be members of a dissident Marxist-Leninist group.
Tanjug said that a district court in Titova Mitrovica, also in Kosovo province, sentenced 19 Albanians to prison terms from one to seven years on similar charges.
