Ven-Cap to Take Over Energy Systems Co.

Ven-Cap Inc., a publicly held holding company specializing in acquiring and financing energy-related businesses, said it has reached an agreement to acquire Santa Ana-based Energy Systems Co. of America for an undisclosed amount of stock and cash. Ven-Cap Chairman and Chief Executive Roy Nelson said Energy Systems of America was formed about five years ago to market co-generation systems that produce electricity and hot water for light commercial users such as restaurants, health clubs, apartments, retail stores and small business offices. Ven-Cap is headquartered in Newport Beach.
