The cousin of slain Los Angeles disc jockey Rodolfo Garcia Cortez has been charged with beating to death the popular announcer for Spanish-language radio station KWKW. Gustavo Garcia Aguilar, 20, who faces arraignment Wednesday on a single murder count, allegedly struck Cortez, 43, twice on the head with a metal pipe as he lay asleep in his home. Aguilar, who had been a guest in the victim’s home, surrendered to authorities in Mexico last week.
