Lt. Gov. Woods to Seek Eagleton’s Senate Seat

ST. LOUIS — Lt. Gov. Harriett Woods announced Sunday that she will run in the Democratic primary for the Senate seat being vacated by Thomas F. Eagleton (D-Mo.), who is retiring after three terms. Woods is expected to face former Republican Gov. Christopher S. (Kit) Bond. Both are running unopposed in the primary.
