Local News in Brief : Officials Probe Cause of Hillside Brush Fire

A brush fire burned 1 1/2 acres of a vacant hillside in Woodland Hills on Sunday evening, but caused no injuries, according to firemen. The fire, at 5245 North Elvira Road near Canoga Avenue and Ventura Boulevard, began about 7 p.m. and was extinguished within half an hour, a Fire Department spokesman said.
